This video drags on way too long, and I'm not sure I believe half of it, and Tim is in love with himself to a pathetically embarrassing degree.
However, having said all that, this was one of those slow motion train wrecks I just couldn't stop watching. And strangely enough, it's almost valuable as a training video of how not to backpack in Grand Canyon...click

I too found myself with too much time this afternoon and passed the time watching this guy. Holy cow!!! You said it c/b and example of how NOT to hike the canyon. Of course, not being there it's easy to speculate but it seems like this guy ignored ALL the rules, common sense and cautions for hiking anywhere...I'd no sooner leave my tent and food behind than I'd head down into an area like the canyon w/only the small amt of water he carried. I'm pretty sure I'd leave the camera before I'd leave the food or shelter.
