A Point Near EthanPond & Zeacliff Trail Jct. via Zealand & EthanPond Trails: 1/22/09
Trail Conditions:
We started from the winter parking lot for Zealand Road X-C skied our way to the viewpoint near the junction of the Ethan Pond Trail & Zeacliff Trails.
The trails were well-broken out. There were only a couple of blowdowns along the way, but all were easily negotiated, and all water crossings were ice-bridged.
Although we had hoped to perhaps get as far as Shoal Pond, we ran out of time and stopped at the viewpoint described above, BUT it can be reported that the Ethan Pond Trail heading south toward Thoreau Falls was broken out.
