SARGENT'S PURCHASE, N.H. —
A skier was buried by an avalanche in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains on Wednesday, which was just one avalanches reported, according to the Mount Washington Avalanche Center
A solo skier in Hillman's Highway triggered a large avalanche and was caught, carried, and critically buried, the avalanche center said. Another solo skier in the avalanche's path was able to get out of the way and saw a small part of the buried skier out of the snow and helped.

The skier was able to get out from the terrain through the help of bystanders. The skier suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the avalanche center said.

In Huntington Ravine, a group of skiers triggered a large avalanche in the fan of Central Gully. The skiers were not caught, carried or buried, the avalanche center said.

The Mount Washington Avalanche Center said conditions are dangerous and they expect the trend to continue with new snow and active wind loading.
