Adirondacks in October?

Welcome to the site. I'm very interested in the Adirondacks lately and I live about halfway between New York City and Albany, so I'm on your way to ADKs. The gas prices right now pretty much make it necessary for me to carpool when going up north. In fact I just returned from an Adirondack trip with another VFTT member. I would love to head back up again this fall, but I may or may not be able to, depending on money, weather, etc. Like Chip says, keep current with this board-post your plans and check for plans posted by others.
