Hiked Algonquin yesterday and did a stupid thing. I left my jacket behind. I think that I left it in the parking lot @ ADK Loj. It is a red Marmot shell and to anyone who may have found it there is a reward of a growler of UBU from Lake Placid Pib & Brewery. Conditions up top were pretty close to winter. Snowshoes not necessary let (but I did have them w/ me) but the trip would have been ugly w/o crampons. No veiws when I was there, a pretty good wind & temps probably about 15 degrees. The growler is all yours or I will split it w/ you. Can't wait for the real winter stuff to start flying.

Damnit! It was on the register when I signed out at five-thirty. We debated what to do, whether to bring it in to the HPIC or leave it there. Since the HPIC was closing soon we decided to leave it by the register in case the owner came back for it last night. We may have been the last in or out last night, so maybe the morning crew spotted it and have it inside? Try e-mailing the ADK website for the Loj and ask them. I hope they have it safe for you.

BTW, were you part of the three that we ran into at the last junction? We were the two limping out of a long slog of Colden. If you were in the clouds all day, this is what Algonquin looked like from across the ravine.
