Perfect day, trail from the Loj parking lot hard packed the whole way (softer on the way back), icy at the top, as usual. We used snowshoes for about half the way up, as required, then switched to crampons, which worked perfectly. Most people had snowshoes or micro-spikes, and 1 couple was coming down from the top in bare boots. The bare boot couple was having problems and the others seemed to be slipping a lot, so we were happy with crampons. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer so micro-spikes and snowshoes with crampons could be better than today, but who knows.

Equipment needed: snowshoes and possibly some kind of additional traction.
