The trail is the eroded rocky staircase that it is. Some areas would benefit from ladders and wood planks. The area right out of the Loj which is a bridge over a wetland has a sunken section submerged under water. Over that submerged section is a single wood plank which is very unstable. Be careful there.
Today, due to recent rains there was a lot of running water on the trail and many muddy areas.
Met The Scotsman who posts on VFTT and also ran into a team of summit stewards on a training run today. Bugs were not too bad. I did not use bug spray. On the summit however is a nasty horde of large aggressive green flies and hornets.
Views today were superlative.
