Interesting article in the sports section of the NYT today.
Chris Davenport, completed his climb/ski goal of getting all 54 of Colorado's high peaks, by finishing on challenging Capitol Peak.

The article goes on to describe Davenport's next quest, ski descents off of all 15 of California's 14ers and Mt Rainier. Accomplishing this would make him the first to sid off the summit of every 14,000 peak in the lower 48 states.
