Trail was muddy. There was blackflies, misquitos and deerflies. They were annoying but not overwhelming. Slide was quite slippery and slowed us down. Hike was long but not as bad as everyone states. Waterproof boots, gaiters and poles really helped on this trip. We were lucky to have a good day in the ADKS.
