Date of Hike: Aug 7th
Trail Conditions: Trails were dry other than the occasional small mud pit. The Opolescent crossing could be rock-hopped and was otherwise calf deep. The water was cool and soothing. The brown slime on the trail up Allen was slippery (of course), I would hate to see it on a wet day.
Special Equipment Required: Gaiters would have helped in the am with the morning dew on vegetation which is grown over the trail in places.
Comments: Views of Haystack and Panther Gorge from just past summit were awesome.
