Fantastic weather. Long, kick-ass hike, but trails in excellent condition - virtually no blowdown. Hanging Spear Falls magnificent as usual. Much more satisfying than the normal trip to Allen via the Upper Works trailhead. The dreaded red slime on Allen was as slippery as ever, but all in all a very satisfying hike. Only one other hiker seen during entire day and he had hiked in from Lake Colden. Total time 10 hours.
