We used snowshoes from the trailhead to the top and back. We had a track to the Mount Adams junction and broke trail in about four inches of new powdery snow beyond that junction. Along Allen Brook, the powder lay over a base which was often icy and occasionally slushy. Off the track, the snow was about one foot deep.
