alpine flower ID help / blueberry?

While playing hooky yesterday, I saw a dozen butterflies working these blossoms. The leaves look like blueberry, but I'm not familiar with these blossoms. This was on the Carter Ledge Trail (eastern slopes of mt. Chocorua), growing with lowbush blueberries, in exposed areas. The plants are about 20" tall. Aren't there many blueberry species?

Focus is poor, using the zoom lens. Thanks for any help.

In just about a month or a month and a half, it'll be time for blueberries! The green ones were already out on Iron Mountain a few days ago.

yeah, I have a trip report coming up w/ lots of Gaylussacia baccata where I intend to go pack to pick enough for a small pie. (do the crunchy seeds soften when cooking or do they stay crunchy?)

arghman, if I'm thinking of the right berries the seeds are so tiny they don't make much of a difference, plus they do soften some. The berries are good fresh, too, of course.
