Western AT
AT section "J" trail from Quintown Rd to 2800 foot level is clear of blowdowns and only a little snow left in patches. From the 2800 foot level the blowdowns remain and the snow is up to three feet deep, but vanishing quickly. Western facing slopes are fairly snow free except in isolated pockets. See trail report in Trip Reports. Big blowdown areas exist near Velvet Rocks. These are reportedly being contracted out for timber salvage so may be there for a while. Currently I would expect snow above 2800 feet on all East facing trails in the area. I will be back out there doing trail and boundary work wednesday through this coming weekend and will update this each day if possible.
