I usually go hiking with my brother but he can't go that weekend. I'm in the AMC but the Boston chapter has nothing interesting going on that weekend. I'm trying to make sure I do something every weekend so I can be sure to be in shape for my big Grand Canyon hike this summer.
It would probably need to be someone around Boston. I don't have a car but am happy to share gas expenses. I'm up for anything in the 3500-4500 ft range, since I'm just beginning to get back in shape now. I did Chocorua 2 weeks ago and Cannon Mt before that. Something like Passaconway, Whiteface, Tom, etc... would be ideal. I'm also open to the Moat Mountains (which are lower) only because I've heard they're pretty cool and I would like to do them some day.
I'm a little on the slow side... for winter hiking I tend to average 1.5 on the way up and a bit faster on the way down.
