Date of Hike: 12/16/2011
Trails: Undermountain Trail, AT from Riga Junction to US-7, roadwalk
Trail Conditions: Muddy compared to the norm for the area. Soft swampy ground, especially between Jug End Road and US-7. No snow on trail. Just some snow in woods, on the north-facing slopes of Bear, Race, & Everett. Some ice on trail on the north-facing slopes. I easily stepped around it. The largest patch was about 15 feet long located 0.2 miles north of Everett summit.
Sages Ravine Bridge is missing. Crossing without getting wet was possible, but settling on a route took some time.
The only collection of blowdown that slowed me down was 0.2 miles north of W Sheffield Road (IIRC).
Special Equipment Required: none.
Comments: Parked at Undermountain Trailhead on CT-41. 10.8 mile roadwalk to make this a loop.
