Avalanche danger remains

Jesse Williams of Cloudsplitter Mountain Guides went to the Angel Slides last Friday, dug a test pit, and did some avalanche analysis. This was on the narrow slide next to the wider slide that avalanched a week earlier. He concluded that the snow pack on the narrow slide remained unstable. Click here to watch his video.

The angel slide is the one that you look at on the right from Marcy dam. The trail up Wright goes around the other side of the mountain, so not an issue.
Interesting video by the way.... it sounds highly technical.

Video was interesting

I have never seen the testing of a slope of snow for stability. This video was very informative... and the views were great! Wish I had been there too instead of working...dam that word!!!
