Trail Conditions: Skied From the Loj to Avalanche Lake via the hiking trail to Marcy Dam. Trail conditions up to Marcy Dam were icy in the morning. The snow improved above Marcy Dam. Avalanche Lake was windy and icy. The ski back to Marcy dam was fast, but manageable. Ski out from Marcy dam was soft, but a number of people were bare-booting, so the trail will not hold up well to the foot traffic. Absolutely beautiful day out in the mountains.
