AZ/UT - Paria Plateau Photos

This past week I did some hiking in the Paria Plateau region of northern AZ/southern UT. Here are some photos of an area called The Wave (user name WalksWithBlackflies).

The blackfly seems to be my spirit animal, or at least they really, really like me. That's how I got my name. Deerfly is equally good.

Hey, I was in that area last week, too! After running the Vegas Marathon for giggles, I played on the rocks in Zion National Park, Snow Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Death Valley. December is a wonderful time to visit the southwest--cool temps and no crowds (only four of us on Angels Landing midday last Wednesday!).

Very lovely photos, Rico. The rocks and slot canyons out there are just incredible!
