Back in the Upper Valley, Cardigan!

With all the moving I've been doing these last couple weeks, I've had a tough time getting in walks or hikes, till yesterday anyways. I quick trip up Mt Cardigan sounded like a great idea, and I was able to have a few free hours to hike up from the state park, on a beautiful day.

I am short of time, and internet, so I'll just post some pics from the day.

Apparently the climb wasn't enough exercise for my new hiking friends. haha

ALmost back....yoga, are you kidding me? haha

So here I am, back in Lebanon, hiking in familiar territory. I've hiked Cardigan like 6 times now, and I attempted to get different shots...hopefully I did. Any now my internet time is just about over...can't wait till I get my own!

Thanks John. I'm gettin' there! I don't remember a shorter time I've been on a mountain though, so next time I will relax for longer. The girls I hiked with were all about getting to the next destination and didn't want to dawdle. When I show them Zeacliff, they will have no choice but to rest and take it in a little more.

Thanks Donna! It is a great little hike from the state park side..pretty easy too...took us 47 minutes to summit. The other side of the mtn,I think it is the Holt trail, is far more challenging and the pitch is pretty darn steep. I'd go that way.

Being that you're now in Lebanon, you're only about a half hour away now from the West Ridge Trail trailhead, right?

(Are you interested in little sunrise hike up there sometime soon?)

I don't have a car Barkingcat, but yeah I'm about 30 min from that trailhead. I'd love a sunrise...or even a sunset hike sometime. I'd just have to find a way there. That is the tough part. If I had a car, I'd be hiking every day I tell ya!
