Bald Knob via Shannon Brook Trail, Bald Knob Cut Off, Bald Knob Trail
Date of Hike: Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Trail Conditions: Mostly dry ground, mud
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
Other than three tiny patches of ice that you'd have to go out of your way to step on, Shannon Brook Trail was snow/ice free. A few minor mud patches, otherwise mostly dry.
Bald Knob Cut Off - snow/ice free, muddy in the usual places, otherwise mostly dry. A few minor blowdowns.
Bald Knob Trail from Bald Knob Cut Off to Bald Knob - snow/ice free, mostly dry.
Saw my first wildflowers of the spring on the Bald Knob Cut Off, but didn't see any Hepatica yet (though I didn't spend much time on the summit due to the oncoming rain).
