Route: Baldface Circ., North Baldface Trail, Eagle Cascade, Bicknell Ridge, Baldface Circ., Baldface Knob, Slippery Brook, Baldface Circ.

Trail Conditions: Almost snow-free. One small patch on N side of N Baldface (where else?). Trails in almost perfect shape, except: the Eagle Cascade cutover to the Bicknell Ridge had a half-dozen deadfalls, mostly chain saw size. All were easy to negotiate. One very gigantic blowdown on Slippery Brook, on connection from old trail to Baldface Circ. Easy to get around. To big for anyone except Paul Bunyan to clear. All trails were wet and a bit muddy in places - this is SPRINGTIME!

Special Equipment Required: Used some DEET down low because of skeeters. Otherwise, nothing required. Use poles if you like them.

Comments:First time I used the Eagle Cascade cutover. Nice trail and well-designed. Very well blazed and used below cascade, but poorly blazed and little used above (but, still easy to follow)/
