The woods were wet and the rocks and vegetation were slippery for the steep bushwhack climb up from Moon Haw road. The old herdpath along the Friday ridge is disappearing with increasing amounts of blowdown and vegetation growth, compared to conditions I remember a few years ago. Still, it is a rugged and beautiful place to visit. Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions and no views, the Catskill 3500 Club group still had a great time reaching the summits of these challenging mountains.
