I can't even remember all the good conversations we had this weekend up at the tower. Peter Abreu and his daughter (with Peter carrying 40 pounds of water for 'training'! 
), Matt and Mira, 2 new volunteers Carl and Doug, (Thanks guys! ), a pair of brothers who are interested in helping out in the future, Sharon, David and 4H crew, a couple of local people with immense knowledge of the area, a friend from work, Iain, and the list goes on and on!
The weather was almost PERFECT! We could see High Point in NJ w/o binoculars, just for starters. I think we counted 26 of the 35 high peaks as well. Late at night the stars were awesome, not to mention Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, the Moon, shooting stars, satellites, galaxies, clusters, etc.
Laurie and I did a little fixing, cleaning, re-arranging, etc.
Lots of birds, mammals, snakes, and insects were on display as well.
Never a dull moment!
