Basin and Saddleback 8/7/9

Started from Garden at 7am there was a few parking spaces. The trail in good shape to JBL. Headed up via the Phelps trail and turned onto the Shorey short cut. This was some tough going it took us about a hr to go 1.1 mi. Then we headed to Basin, the trail was in good shape. Had a bite to eat and headed to Saddleback and I had no idea what I was in for. I couldn't believe what I had to climb to get up this hill! I have no idea how I made it and I can't believe more people don't get hurt on this hike. We headed down via Ore Bed trail. The views were awsome. It took us 13 hrs.
