Wow, this was a tough one. I took the Phelps Trail, to the Shorey Short Cut, to the Range Trail, and back on the Orebed Trail to the Phelps. The trails are all clear. That being said, it was quite muddy in the cols. The bugs attacked me once, but left me alone after I put the bug spray on. The Orebed trail was kinda slow going because it was wet. It was a warm day, and I saw nobody on, or near Basin or Saddleback.
It seemed like the Orebed Trail disappeared going back to the JBL? I found my way back to the Phelps trail on a side trail, near one of the ADK's properties. Last time I was at the Garden it was $5, now it's $7.
