Baxter State Park, 18-23 July

Spent several days in Baxter not long ago, including a spectacular day summiting Katahdin. Just now got the (rather lengthy) trip report with lots of pictures up on my website. Here's the link:

I really enjoyed your trail report and all the photos. The swallow picture was a real delight!

I've only been up Katahdin three times (it's a long way from New York) and each time was via the Hunt Trail. I didn't know it was tougher than the other trails. I think years ago we were told that was the way to go and the first time up we were staying at Katahdin Stream Campground anyway. We had to hold my five year old son by his coat when the gusts of wind came up on the Hunt Spur because they lifted him up.
