I saw another article on the story and had to triple check that the article wasn't from The Onion. Despite the sad situation for the bears, the addition of the raccoon and pot bellied pig made me chuckle:

I don't believe the theory that bears cannot feed themselves after the've become accustomed to being fed. I believe finding natural food and eating it is an inate behavior which doesn't simply disappear after being fed for any time.
