: BBT is a sidewalk all the way up. Firm but soft enough to get good traction w/ snowshoes.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes (w/ traction). I passed a couple that had "old school" SSs with just the flat bottom. They didn't get far. Other traction might be fine (stabilicers/crampons) but posthole threat still there. Poles were useful as a break on the way down!
Comments: - 2 "heros" skied that waterfall/river the whole way down. Though you'd never see me on it, that was impressive. hat's off to those wackos!!
Butt sliding this trail (essentially from the shelter to the ravine floor) is second to none. Having some sort of secondary brake is handy.
