Trail Conditions: Hiked Mt. Piper Trail to the summit of Mt. Piper and continued over to Mt. Whiteface via the Piper/Whiteface Link. Piper Trail packed out but several icy sections as we got closer to the summit. Barebooted to Mt. Piper but could easily have used traction. From the summit of Mt. Piper we headed over to Mt. Whiteface (not be be mistaken with the big "Mt. Whiteface") via the Piper/Whiteface Link. Also packed out by snowshoes, skis and snowmobile tracks.

Special Equipment: Microspikes or Yak Tracks recommended as there are some icy sections.

Comments: I highly recommend the Belknap range if you are looking for a half day hike or do not want to drive too far. The views were absolutely beautiful looking down to Winnipesaukee and beyond. Lots of different routes you can take to make it a fun and interesting hike. Trail over to Mt. Whiteface is not clearly marked so pay attention to where the cairns are placed. We will go back again!!!!
