Our group started off from the Rt 2 trailhead on an out and back hike, around noon-time on a beautiful sunny day. The trailhead parking lot wasn't plowed out very well, so without high clearance or 4WD it might have been challenging. There was still room along the side of the road.
The trail all the way to the summit was broken out but there is at least two feet of snow the entire trail and snowshoes are a must. We crossed a couple of XC skiers at the first intersection but saw no other ski tracks or people after that. No blowdown the entire trail.
A great first snowshoe hike of the year!
