My wife and I had a swell time last weekend in the Adirondacks. It was only our 2nd winter hiking trip. We hiked the brothers and Big Slide on Saturday and Noonmark on Sunday. Glissading back down was my favorite part, especially down Big Slide because it is very steep. Temperatures on Saturday were -15F at the trailhead, but warmed up considerably during the day peaking out at -5F according to my $3 thermometer. Sunday offered considerably warmer temps. strating at -10F at the trailhead and rising to approximately +3F by the time of our return from Noonmark to the Ausable Club Trailhead. Both days provided crystal clear views. We saw The Great Range from different angles. I am having a devil of a time identifying the mountains in my pictures. Perhaps some more seasoned ADKers could tell me if I erred in the descriptions of the followinf mountains.
