Hiked Big Slide on 3/14/09, perfect sunny day, calm on summit. BEST VIEWS YET from the high peaks!!! Brought snowshoes but carried them, used crampons, snow cover light to none at all in places before The Brothers. Trail snow/ice was compacted but sides of trail in places there was no snow. After The Brothers snow depth increased but still only used crampons... Lots of bare rock to negotiate in crampons... Fantastic day!!!
