Bigelows Backpack

Hey all, I'm heading to Maine later this week for a little backpacking trip to the Bigelows. I'm heading up the AT from Route 27 and staying at the Horns on Thursday night. Depending on how early I get up there, I'll either tag the 4Ks along the ridge on Thursday and head back down on Friday morning. Or make a day of it Friday, doing the ridgewalk to tag the 4Ks and down that afternoon.

hope you have as good weather as I did a few weeks ago.

the caretakers at Horns pond are very nice. I'd tell you to say hi for me, but I doubt they remember me at this point.

Horns Pond is eminently swimmable - if the weather's hot, enjoy a cool dip!

I'll agree with Michael! I hope it's warm enough for swim in the ponds, but cool enough to make the hiking pleasant! Enjoy!!
