Beautiful day for the 7-mile loop from the trailhead at the upper end of the Batavia Kill. Trails past the leanto, along the escarpment, over Black Head, Black Dome and Thomas Cole, and down past the spring were dry and well-maintained. Bugs present but no problem -- I didn't even use repellent. Lots of scenic ledges to linger at. Unfortunately, the typically hazy skies limited visibility to maybe 40 miles.
