There are some wet and muddy spots along the trail. No downed trees. Some of the trail is a running stream but with enough rocks to rock hop as needed. The windmill/rotor at the summit has been moved from being on top of the large tall steel structure within the fenced in area to now being outside the fenced in area. It make a lot of noise. I am a bit concerned about the safety issue of that rotor being much lower and closer to hikers. Especially when it is windy as it was today there is a sense of not wanting to be too close to it.
I did the shorter ascent and descent from Pike Brook Road. I did not do the loop trail that includes the ponds.
