trails: left section of loop, unmarked paths to and around baldy and unmarked path from baldy to firetower
conditions: couple inches of fresh snow in woods. crusty layer on exposed sections with glaze ice on bare rocks. removed blowdowns en route.
comments: i generally hike blue job a couple times a week as it's now about 10 minutes away. figured conditions changed enough to warrant a report. some may want traction if going over or around the open summit of baldy, but certainly not necessary.
really beautiful day with much of the snow untrodden except by foxes. i've spent years hiking in the whites and all over new england and this little hill up the road is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. looking forward to the incoming snow.
