Trail conditions at the base were spring like at our 10am start. Once we crossed the brook though snow and ice started to appear and remained for the last 3/4 of the trail to the summit. Trail was wet on the lower part and totally packed snow and ice covered on the last half, with patches of exposed rock in spots. We managed to do with no equipment, but was very tedious on the way down with a couple slips. Would really advise poles and spikes/crampons for the top half of the hike. No deep snow cept for an occasional posthole if you strayed off the packed trail. Was a beautiful day and the view was great!
