do they plow out parking lot at blue mtn. I want to go there and dont want to park on shoulder of road

yes, mostly all parking lots (trail heads) are plowed in the winter. it might take some time to get to them in a big dump but they will eventually get to them..

blue mt. lot not reliably plowed in 2004

We hiked from this lot one week, then three weeks later did an overnight from this same lot in the Jan/Feb timeframe last year (2004). On both occasions, the trailhead parking lot was not plowed. However, a third, pull-over lane opens up as you approach the trailhead parking lot from the village. We parked here (the one time overnight) and were not ticketed.

zeke your right, i was thinking about this after i posted but there is a spot that is usually open right at the top of the hill and on the other side of the road.

i usually meet some buddies at blue mtn lake and we leave one car for up to 4 days. never ticketed never towed
