It was a beautiful day for a hike, partly sunny and low 70's and the trail was in pretty good shape. No sign of snow or ice, some muddy trails on the stretch where it parallels the stream, but dry before and mostly dry on the steeps. Not a long hike but you certainly get your elevation gain in. Both spots where it crosses the stream were easy to cross. There was one blowdown tree across the path towards the top but was easily passed. One other pair on the trail, headed up to Porter but pretty much had the trail to ourselves!
