Blueberry Mt. via Blueberry Mountain trail, 04/24/09
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blueberry Mt. via Blueberry Mountain Trail, Long Pond road
Date of Hike: Friday, April 24, 2009
Trail Conditions: Mostly dry ground, mud / standing water in low spots
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
Other than patches of ice in the shadows off the trails Blueberry Mountian trail was snow/ice free. A few minor mud & standing water in the low areas of the trail, otherwise mostly dry.
Summit was warm and clear as well. Great views of the surrounding peaks and ranges. A few minor blowdowns that will require some work to remove.
The first wildflowers of the spring were breaking through at various parts of the trail and the water run-off at the lookout was running with force.
Long-Pond Road is still closed due to mud season so part in the lot on High Street.
