I'm dead tired, 12 hours of hiking and skiing then a few more of driving, but we completed our task. At 3:30PM Bob and Geri arrived at the summit of Bondcliff to complete their Winter 48 in style.

We had a fine group of Kea, Lawnsale, Charles, Poison Ivy, and myself, plus the guests of honor. It looks like we were the only ones up there today, we broke trail using skis, bare boots, snowshoes and crampons at times. It was a long day as we'd all done some activity the previous day; it took us almost exactly 12 hours door to door.

Congrats Bob and Geri!

Wow - we can't believe that you managed to post this last night - we were in dreamland when you did :>

It will be a few days before we post our trip reports and photos from our Jefferson and Bondcliff hikes up. What a great weekend and what wonderful people to hike with. Sat on Jefferson we encountered high winds, snow, and cold temps, but had the time of our lives. Sunday on Bondcliff we got to revisit Bondcliff and finish a "48" list for the 2nd time. This is our favorite peak in the Whites.

Mark - you give a whole new meaning to being flexible on plans. Charles - two great days of hiking with you and your stunts that we have come to love. Amy - it would not have been the same without you - we knew you would make it! Christine - you have a giant heart and legs of steel. We know the future will bring you much happiness. Every hike we do with you a joy. Dave - if we recall that this was only your 4th hike this Winter - it was over 4 times your longest, and was 50% longer than the previous 3 added together. Wow! But we still want to see the handstand sometime!

Thank you for joining us and making this an even more special occasion for us to enjoy, and thank you to the many we have hiked with over the past two years. It has been so much fun. See you all on the trails soon!
