Trail Conditions: Bondcliff trail very muddy throughout, most especially from junction with Wilderness up to first crossing of Black Brook. Parts of the Wilderness trail muddy too--nothing impassable, just messy.

Of the four crossings of Black Brook, only the first one (coming up from Wilderness) was of any consequence--took boots off for that one. The others are running fast, but are easily rock-hopped.

Special equipment: Earl recommended that I use poles for the muddy portions--I'm glad I did. I'm not usually a pole person, but they were very helpful for staying upright through all the mud.

Comments: Beautiful day for this hike. Hardly anyone on the trails until the end going back to the parking lot. 360 degree views--breathtaking.
