Conditions: Dry with no snow except for one small patch next to the upper Lions Head Trail.

Special equipment: None except usual layers for slightly chilly conditions on the summit of Washington.

Comments: I went up the Boott Spur Link trail from Hermit Lake to the Boott Spur ridgetop, then up to the Davis Path, over to the summit, and down the Lions Head. Weather went from a bit overcast to crystal clear to somewhat windy and unstable with interesting cloud formations. The alpine flowers appear to be nearing their peak already---there were some nice ones just below Boott Spur. There were some skiers in Tucks.
