From WMNF:

"A portion of the popular Boulder Loop Trail, located along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway in Conway, NH will be will be temporarily closed for trail re-construction. Beginning on July 17, for approximately 3-5 weeks Monday – Thursday, trail crews will be working on the right-hand fork (southeast side) of the Boulder Loop Trail from the loop fork to the summit.

Hikers are asked to travel in a clockwise direction to the summit, and descend using the same route during the construction to avoid the right-hand (southeast) fork of the trail. Signs will be posted as a reminder to hikers during this brief closure."

Thanks Waumbek for the beta. I use this trail alot for some of my daily workouts. Probably a good thing they are working on this trail, erosion and hiker traffic has been taking it's toll.

I agree that this trail does see quite a bit in the way of hiker traffic. I'm glad they are doing some work on it. Boulder Loop is a great trail for introducing a young child to hiking.
