The road to the trailhead off Route 149 is in great shape. The parking area .5 mile past the large Hogtown parking lot is plowed and cleared with room for at least 10 cars.
The trail is in great condition. Well packed trail, no post holes. A few short icy areas up high, nothing to worry about. Cleats on the snowshoes will handle the few ice patches with no problem.
As of 1/17/10 Lake George is still not frozen.
