Part of AMC beginner winter series hike. -20 at beginning of hike, warmed up to 0 by end of the hike. Traction, crampons or microspikes, worker very well for everyone in the group, right from the start. Trail was well packed with only a few steep spots. Water crossings all easily navigated. Once we hit treeline, a smaller contingent of the group decided to go for the summit. Thanks to our leader pressing on after making sure everyone was ok all the way to the summit. Very windy at the top, only spent a few minutes at the cairn taking pictures. Trail not as easy to follow above treeline. A few deeper drifts up high but mostly minimal cover on the rocks/ledges. Plenty of ice. Magnificant views in all directions.
