Trail Conditions
arked inside the Fish Hatchery on York Pond Road. The short section of York Pond Trail is flat and easy with only a couple muddy spots. Bunnelll Notch Trail is in good condition with only a few muddy sports. An easy cruising trail which does not look like it get much use. Kilkenny Ridge Trail was in good shape and 99% snow/ice free. Only a few spots of ice before Mt. Cabot easy to straddle or walk around. A little more snow/ice from Mt. Cabot to The Bulge but nothing that can't easy be walk through or around. From The Bulge to The Horn no snow/ice.
Special Equipment Required: Sunscreen.
Comments: Lots more people on the trail than I expected. Did meet a couple at the intersection of Kilkenny Ridge trail and Mt. Cabot trail. Said they can up the Mt. Cabot trail and did not know it was supposed to be closed. Said the homeowner was pulling out when they parked.
A great day with lots of Sunshine and nice breezes. Bag my 38 NH 4k and knocked off 2 more on the 100 Highest.
