Up Burrows to LT, down Bamforth Ridge to Alpine Trail, along Alpine Trail to Monroe and then to LT two tenths south of summit. Return via LT to clearing and then back down the Burrows Trail.
All trails easy to follow. Mirabela is right about the usage of the parts of the Alpine Trail. Yellow blazes are getting a little elderly, but it's easy to follow. Top five tenths is a pretty good route to the summit if ascending the Hump via Monroe Trail with the advantage of seeing the airplane wing a couple of tenths before gaining the ridge.
This was our last of the "side-to-side" trails to earn a GMC rocker for the Long Trail patch.
Dozens (hundreds - ?) of people and dogs on summit.
