Looking for good tenting spot in eastern Pemi. I'm not expecting anyone to expose his favorite camping spot. I'm just looking for general info. I'm not sure exactly where I'm heading, but maybe Nancy Pond, Norcross Pond, Carrigain area. I just want to know if there are any areas in particular to stay away from as far as tenting is concerned (too boggy, too rocky, space aliens, whatever). If you DO want to reveal a nice spot, you can PM me and it'll be "in the vault". But any general info would be cool. Thanks.

If you don't mind the extra miles, some of the best camping in that area is on the backside of the east pemi loop along the North Fork - lightly traveled with lots of open, flat terrain. It's hard to go wrong on that whole stretch of trail. I'd probably avoid the Stillwater area since it is a relatively common tenting location and attracts large groups.
